New Adventures

Since I soon will be leaving, like next Friday, the security of my nest in order to step out and challenge myself by taking a new position, it is the time also to step out, to challenge myself personally,  to try something else new. Somewhere in all of the academics, child rearing, jobs, and day to day living, I lost a portion of self, maybe a little bit of soul, the creative spot, the something wonderful that lets a person really see and also be seen. So, I’ve been inspired to rediscover my love of photography, art, and communication. I’ve also been inspired to share about higher education and to provide some help and insight for families regarding the education of their children.  So, don’t expect just a bunch of sappy, self-reflective stuff. You’ll get that too, but I hope also to share some substance along the way. I hope, at least, that I have something of value to say.  Maybe I can provide a relevant suggestion or two.

The one who inspired this adventure is my talented and smart niece. Ok, Niece, lets see if I do this right.

    Yeah!!!!!!!!!! Auntie Gail!

I love it! So beautiful. I can’t wait to see more.

Blogging is a bit of a time commitment but like most things you get out of it what you put in. I really wanted a creative spot as well. It’s so nice to come back, sip your coffee and look at what you have placed out there!

Sheila, I think you’ve unleashed a Time-eater-upper-Great-Rollicking-Beast that I’ll absolutely love. I always thought I’d like to do this, and you gave me that little bit of push from your example. Thanks. This will be such fun! I’ve got to go get my coffee!
